Supervisor – Associate Professor Andriy Pilko. The competition was held on the basis of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The purpose of the study is to develop the theoretical foundations and scientific and methodological principles of improving the management of regional development on the basis of economic and mathematical modeling of the processes of evaluation, analysis and forecasting of its asymmetry. The scientific novelty of the work is to improve existing approaches to assessing the level of socio-ecological and economic development and regional asymmetry in terms of sustainable development, the degree of harmonization and the level of social tension, as well as developing their own approach to analyzing and forecasting regional development asymmetry. Based on the developed and evaluated trend and distribution-lag models, the calculated forecast values of the level of regional asymmetry in terms of sustainable development, degree of harmonization, social tension for the regions of Western Ukraine for 2018-2020 under the influence of key factors of regional development asymmetry were determined.
